I moved to the United States from Moscow, Russia, to pursue my Bachelor’s degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing my studies at Emory, I decided to embark on a PhD program in Slavic Studies at Brown University, where I am currently a doctoral candidate. In my research, I focus on the role of ideas and ideals in the development of selfhood in Fyodor Dostoevsky’s oeuvre, as well as on the boundary/liminality between late Soviet modernism and early postmodernism, particularly its propensity for intertextuality in the works of Venedikt Erofeev and Abram Tertz-Sinyavsky.
